Organic Psyllium farming is a production system that avoids or largely excludes the use of synthetically produced agricultural inputs like fertilizers, pesticides, growth regulators, live stock feed additives etc. Most of the Psyllium in the U.S. is imported from India, where the growing conditions are ideal. The psyllium is grown from organic seeds that are milled with certified organic equipment to separate the whole husks. The finished product contains 95 to 99 percent pure husk, which is nearly 85 percent in non organic psyllium husk.
